Description

For Sale: Framed 1912 Sigma Alpha Epsilon antique steel engraved print of fraternity coat of arms. Black frame, solid wood, measuring 9” x 11”.
These types of prints, popular at the turn of the century, were made from steel plates. The artist would hand engrave the design into the steel and then use a printing press to stamp it onto paper. The image feels raised like rubbing your finger across a hundred dollar bill. This particular print was made by the E. A. Wright company based in Philadelphia.
A great collectible for anyone interested SAE history. Would look great hanging in a dorm, chapter house or home office. A very cool piece of history that should be put on display and enjoyed.
